The first time I’ve ever heard about computer-generated imagery (CGI) technology was with the debut of Cicakman. Watching last night’s Fight For life  on BBC however, demonstrated another incredible use of CGI – to create very realistic medical animations. I was irked at the sight of the gross candida over and over again! Euww.

This Fight For Life series will be aired on BBC One in 6 parts every Monday. The animations will be created by the Jellyfish Pictures team. I am intrigued as to why they choose the name Jellyfish. Haven’t got around to figure out why.

Perhaps the talents/operators of CGI technology in Malaysia could be invested into works like these to help educate the public one day other than for entertainment purposes only.
